Segurma alarms by province
The alarm is the same all over Spain and so is the price. What changes from one province to another is who turns up when Segurma's Alarm Receiving Centre confirms an intrusion, what the homes are like and where the properties that spend the most time empty are. Here you have each province explained for anyone looking to protect their home against burglary or squatters.

What is the same in every province
Segurma is a security company authorised by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior (no. 3082) with its own Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). It has been operating since 1986 and is based in Loiu (Bizkaia). When a detector goes off anywhere in Spain, the signal reaches that ARC with the images and audio from that moment, an operator checks whether there is a person inside and, if there is, alerts the police force responsible for that municipality. That does not change from one province to another.
The price does not change either. The promotion Segurma publishes is national: €24.90 a month for the first 12 months, with the equipment and installation included, and from month 13 the standard monthly fee for each kit (€43.90 a month for the Kit Tranquilidad and €49.90 a month for the Kit Tranquilidad Plus, VAT included for homes). The promotion ends on 31 October. There is no surcharge by province or distance: a Segurma technician installs the system, usually within 24 to 48 hours of the sign-up being completed, with no building work.
What changes from one province to another
Three things, and they are what we explain on each page:
- Who receives the alert. In the Basque Country it is the Ertzaintza; in Catalonia, the Mossos d'Esquadra; in Navarre the Policía Foral, the National Police or the Guardia Civil step in depending on the municipality; in the rest of Spain, the National Police in the provincial capitals and cities with a police station and the Guardia Civil in the other municipalities. The local police lend support almost everywhere. Segurma's ARC knows who to call in each municipality; you do not have to do anything.
- What the homes are like. A third-floor flat in Bilbao, a townhouse with a plot in the Madrid sierra, a village house with a yard in Zamora and a flat on the Alicante coast that stays shut for ten months of the year are not protected in the same way. For each province we explain which detectors make sense for the kind of home that is most common in each area.
- Where the empty homes are. Squatting and holiday-season burglaries concentrate where houses stand closed: holiday homes on the coast and in the mountains, inherited flats in the provincial capitals, village houses inland. Each page points out those areas and explains what the alarm does so that a break-in is detected the moment it happens, which is when the police can act.
How to use these pages
Go to your province, check whether your municipality or comarca (district) appears in the areas covered and read the part about your type of home. Twelve provinces have a page in English: Alicante, Málaga, the Balearic Islands, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Almería, the Region of Murcia, Girona, Cádiz, Castellón, Valencia and Tarragona. The other 38 provinces are covered too, but their pages are in Spanish at segurma24h.com/zonas/. Then, if you want, ask for the survey: we call you, you tell us what the house is like and we propose a kit in writing, with no obligation. If you would rather go straight to the numbers, they are on the Segurma prices page; and if you want to know what customers say, see the reviews (also in Spanish).

Yes. The promotion Segurma publishes is national: €24.90 a month for the first 12 months with equipment and installation included, and from month 13 the kit's standard monthly fee. There are no surcharges by province, island or distance; any extra elements your home needs are quoted in the survey.
Every installation is registered with its address and the force responsible for that municipality (Ertzaintza, Mossos d'Esquadra, Policía Foral, National Police or Guardia Civil). When the operator at Segurma's ARC confirms by video and audio that there is a real intrusion, they alert that force and pass on the images. You get the alert in the app at the same time.
